Frequently Asked Questions About 90th Anniversary Virtual Tours
When does the virtual tour take place?
Each facility will host a virtual tour once a month through August, dates and times are located on their respective Eventbrite page.
How long is the virtual tour?
Virtual tours can run up to one hour, the length of time for each facility’s tour can differ. Please check their Eventbrite page for specific length.
When will I receive the Zoom Webinar link?
A Zoom Webinar link will be emailed to all registered guests one day before the event. Please ensure you have the most updated version of Zoom downloaded to your device.
The Zoom Webinar link will allow you to view the virtual tour via any device, though the tour is best viewed on a computer.
Will I be on camera? Will I be able to ask questions?
All guests will have their cameras and microphones turned off, only Berkeley Lab staff will be on camera and allowed to speak. Guests will have the ability to communicate with Berkeley Lab staff via the Q&A or Chat features in Zoom.

What will I learn on the virtual tour?
During the virtual tour you will learn about a unique facility at Berkeley Lab, including what makes the building unique and what groundbreaking research and science is conducted there.
Will anyone be onsite at Berkeley Lab during the virtual tour?
No. All Berkeley Lab hosts and presenters will be in their own homes during the virtual tour.
Is there a limit on how many people can attend a virtual tour?
In order to maximize interaction, we are limiting attendance to 50 people maximum at this time.
Are children allowed to attend?
The virtual tours are designed for people 16 years and older, though those younger than 16 are welcome to join!
How much does the tour cost?
Virtual tours are free of charge.
Can I register additional guests?
Yes. You may register additional guests by providing the name and email address during the registration process.
Is the tour conducted only in English?
Yes. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer interpretation during any virtual tour.
How do I cancel my tour reservation?
If you are not able to attend the tour, please send an email to tours@lbl.gov as soon as possible so we can open up spaces for guests on the waitlist.
